SANDBAR “Yona, it doesn’t really matter if you’re a great pony or a horrible pony. You’re the best Yona I know. That’s why I asked you to the dance.”
YONA “Really?”
SANDBAR “I never wanted you to be anything other than what you are. My friend, Yona, the yak.”
Out of all the shippings in My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, this is perhaps my favorite (I haven’t decided what my other favorites are). It may have sounded like they were meant to be just best friends, but I have a feeling that this friendship was meant to blossom into true love. I’m really glad I got to see a friendship turned love relationship (I’m a fan of such transforming relationships). And even though it doesn’t look like Spike and Rarity became a thing, I’m pleased to know that an interspecies relationship did actually occur. I bet these two will have a wonderful future together. Heart
The truth is I started working on this before the bat event, and I managed to get it done, but due to the whole Derpibooru circumstance and the other―I will not discuss here AND neither will you situation we are dealing with―I wasn’t in the mood to submit this. But I got over it, and now it’s all ready go. I have more Yonabar pics to upload, so enjoy the interspecies romance. ;)

It sure could, but that wasn’t very nice of some pony to add a comparison between them on the bottom and Fluttershy and discord on the top that said keep calm and flutter on

You could say Fluttercord is an inter species relationship. If that thing counts as a species.
