Description

I’ve been trying out the new wonderbolts outfit…okay, it’s just a retexture of one of the old clothing.

Yes aerodynamic maybe is not the right word, but in terms of more weight to carry and dangling around when running will surely slows you. And that’s the major factor.

Wonder bolt girls should have huge boobs that are required to be exposed at all times

bigger wings though do require more energy to flap and can not be moved as quickly. So that does cut into their agility. Also since they use magic for propulsion shorter wings also raise maximum speed. Which is why Twilight can’t fly as fast as Rainbow Dash despite her larger magic power.
Larger wings do allow a tighter turning circle usually but Twilight is also substantially larger than Rainbow and therefore heavier. The heavier wings and larger inertia means she will be much slower to change direction though the turning circle they can have is about the same.
The one thing Twilight would exceed Rainbow at is endurance. Larger weight might be harder to get in the air but it also means a lot more potential energy and a lot more momentum. Twilight likely would be able to glide for very long distances.
Very large wingspans useful mainly for endurance which is why seabirds have the longest. However because the wings are so heavy they are very slow to change direction and all the drag they get means their speed is very slow. In addition because they can’t flap them quickly they have a much harder time getting off the ground.
With Flurry those massive wings would be somewhat of a hindrance more than help. They are so heavy in comparison to her body it would be very hard for her to remain stable and her body would bob up and down with every stroke. Also the extreme angles she gets means she could very easily get disorientated. Her difficulty taking off doesn’t help either. The one thing she does have is that releasing her mid air is pretty safe since with only her spread wings she will glide slowly to the ground and is not likely to stall and drop down.

Totally agree with all of that, well said.

Pc police much she could have misunderstood him and he been asking about wing size you know.

Speaking of which, bigger wings might not be a totally bad thing either: logically speaking, if they’re not just for show, you’ll have more power potential to push you forward with each flap even if the wings weigh more, which combined with your boobs causing less drag by being less heavier than your teammates will be a big advantage when you know how to use the wings.

Take Flurry Heart for example: she’s an Alicorn toddler with DAMN HUGE wings, more comparable to an adult Alicorn. Yet she easily carries a full-grown mare, does flips with her, and flies like a lightning bolt coming outta a bottle. So the canonicality is there.

That is incredibly insensitive and should result in lots of HR visits. Unless RD kicks him in the nutbag and says “No, does yours?”

So, you can’t talk about chest size ? He has a point: Spitfire and Fleetfoot totally crush RD in size, the others probly are somewhere between those 2 points as well, and he probly knew RD was worried, so he straight up asked her to likely encourage her, but given she already totally embraces it, there ain’t a reason to go that far. Rather toxic thinking it could only be insensitive.

Even if smaller breasts aren’t more aerodynamic, they would weigh less. Given that pegasi use their muscles for flight, having less weight to drag around would give a better power to weight ratio and less muscle fatigue in the long run. When you’re talking about fractions of a second between records, I’m sure it makes a difference.
