I know they’re just comments but the toxicity gets exhausting.

I mean, I could see where they were coming from, but Luke was a side character in Jedi Academy at best, and he didn’t even show up until the final minute or so of the video. It felt really overblown.
…what?
Yep. I know people have opinions, and that’s fine, but to see maybe seven or eight videos that cover how Disney/Star Wars is dead, or how so-and-so ruined the movie(s), etc. pop up every day gets old and just makes me leary about watching anything related to the series anymore.
I’d argue that the videos blowing holes in SU are more entertaining than the show itself. There’s even one or two lampooning the comments that get left behind.
There are some channels I watch that are toxic-free (Binging With Babish, Whang!, Bedtime Stories, and YouTubers who cover Dark Souls lore to name a few).
Christ I still can’t believe somebody did a review about the last Jedi almost twice as long as the actual movie
That’s also a problem. This happened with Steven Universe too. Critique is good, but sometimes you just gotta realize that it’s fiction and you shouldn’t think about it too hard.
Don’t read or participate in the comments on any videos with controversial subjects like politics, religion, or long-running franchises that have significantly changed since their inception.
The internet lets everyone have a voice, but many people don’t realize that others are just there to have a good time, not get angry over things that ultimately don’t matter, like fictional franchises. I myself have been guilty of this, but as I get older, I do it less often because I realize I’m just ruining everyone’s fun.
