Guess, it’s “rule of funny” for him, and I guess we have to accept not everything gets explained.
Maybe they wanted to leave it to the viewer’s imagination, or were afraid to elaborate on it further, because of the unfortunate implications of it being similar to an IRL disability.
In fact, they never really refer to it as a “disability” either. So maybe she could fly someday… Though, when she was turned into an adult, she never even tries.
personally my issue with scootaloo never flying is that they never explained why she couldn’t the closest we got was just that her wings are too small which just doesn’t work in this universe when we have characters like bulk biceps
Well, I guess that was a li’l unfair of me, I’m sorry.
Though, Faust has only written like 3 MLP episodes entirely by herself, so it’s a li’l unfair to write off all the other writers, whom are just as good.
And my point still stands, that she’s not perfect, nor the only good contributor (or possibly the best) in the show. She’s written stinkers before too. She wrote “Everyone Knows it’s Bendy,” the most hated episode of “Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends.” (Which even she regrets.)
You’re making claims about what I hate or not. I don’t hate it if Scootaloo doesn’t fly or doesn’t have a “sisterly relationship” or the other things you brought up. My main gripes are how the Mane 6 never really get character development (Faust had plans for them but that got shelved after she left the series, Twilight was supposed to become a princess at the end of the series and not after Season 3 for example) and other issues that became evident as the show dragged on. Controversial opinion here, but I view EqG as pretty meh. If Hasbro wanted to make a generic teenage high school show it shouldn’t have been in the same universe, because this is My Little Pony. I’m sure I differ with Faust in a lot of ways, but she’s leagues ahead of the other writers and it shows.
Yep, I do remember that. Like I said, she has a young daughter that probably will eventually get interested in things such as MLP, so there’s the small possibility Lauren may get to watch it again. Or not.

Ironically enough, I think Faust would actually like Pony Life if she watched MLP content (she has a daughter, so she eventually will have to watch seasons 3-9 and spin-offs). I remember that, through Twitter posts, she once defended animated series like Teen Titans Go. I don’t remember when that happened, but I know it’s true ’cause the Teen Titans from DC Super Hero Girls 2019 were based off their Go counterparts.
Whatever one’s opinion of TTG’s mockery of it’s haters is, it was a result of the mostly unfounded hate. Not the other way around
Some even claimed it was getting better than the actual show. At least was Equestria girls the idea of them being humans in high school was a bit weird this is just a more comedic spin-off to a show that was already comedic
another reason why I don’t think the teen Titans go comparison works
Also Faust may have been involved in writing throughout the first two seasons she only actually wrote three episodes and they are fair at best they’re not the strong point of the season

As much as I wanna stay out of this argument…
Y’know, ironically some of Faust’s original ideas were things you guys hate? Such as Scootaloo never flying, (and she didn’t want Dashie & Scootaloo to have a “sisterly” relationship, stating “Dashie would be a terrible big sister”) Applejack head-butting trees, and she originally wanted Pinkie Pie to be even crazier then she already is. Not to mention, she was against “Equestria Girls,” which has become a fan-favorite now. (And that’s why they keep EqG separate from FIM, and why Sunset isn’t allowed in the main Pony show.)
So honestly as much as I love Faust, she isn’t perfect, or flawless either. Faust isn’t the only person whom made the show good, the whole staff was.

Hmm, all of those pictures except one are from the last four seasons of G4. You know, the ones whose quality is most contested. I’m noticing a pattern here.
Maybe the reason people are cynical is because they “gave it a chance” for the last several years and were consistently let down. I for one expect that Faust would have to return for the franchise’s media to regain its loveability.

well I mean TTG pretty much openly mocked its fanbase, and I’ve yet to see any signs of Pony Life doing the same other than things people assume are meant to be insults because… I dunno, Jim Miller is the devil and Josh Haber is the anti-christ or something even though I’m pretty sure neither of them are involved in the production of this spin-off whatsoever

Regardless if those pictures existed or not, the haters are clearly expecting something from Pony Life that it’s not supposed to be. It’s Teen Titans Go all over again 😒
having looked at the designs of these characters I’m not seeing where people are getting the whole “disfigured mutants” thing from - have they never seen chibis before?
For real, people are taking this too seriously. Same shit with TTG
Whatever the author’s intention was I’m sure it could be delivered through a far less atrocious art.
