I understand that, but I was just saying it seems like alot of bronies seem to act like anything that doesn’t emulate the FIM style is “bad,” and it’s kinda discouraging as an artist.
Honestly, when I first saw the FIM/Faust style of the G4 show I didn’t like it at first, but it grew on me over time when I gave the show a chance. In fact, for all we know alot of people probably didn’t care for MLP:FIM either when they first saw commercials, or promotional art for it.

You can’t blame people for disliking the artstyle. I’m an artist too and try to be ‘open minded’ but I have my own tastes as well. And quite honestly I’m still not an Equestria Girls fan because of the artstyle. Same thing for this show.

The Equestria girls movies only receipt limited the runs in theatres and the production value of them did not get worse when they stop doing those the theatrical ones.
I’m talking about things like Doug’s first movie which direct to video movies which were being given the same treatment as the actual blockbusters

Yeah, if it used the exact show style, it’d come off that way…
In fact, some accused the “Equestria Girls” movies of that, because of that.

I swear people pretty much wanted the movie to look like a low budget director to DVD film that got shoehorned in theatres one of the reasons 2D animation left theatres was because of movies like that

If that’s what the actual show looks like, it honestly doesn’t look that “horrible.” I’ve seen worse, and at least they still look cute. I even like Dashie’s new “Hedgehog” hair. lol
I wish bronies were more open to other art styles. They also flipped out over some of the IDW artists, (some even over fan-favorite Andy Price) and the undersea storybook art style, (which I thought was kinda pretty, and a li’l G1-ish) and even the “Movie,” style, just because they weren’t exactly like the FIM show style… It’s like no art style is allowed to deviate from completely show-accurate.
As an artist myself whom doesn’t emulate the FIM show style exactly either, that’s actually quite disheartening…
Apparently, I hear there was a scrapped FIM episode idea (from the leaks) of Rainbow Dash getting fat, after getting addicted to a VR simulator device, or something. So by that logic, the FIM staff must be obsessed with fatties too. :P
I’m surprised people are flipping out over this so badly, as she’s no huger then Pinkie got in FIM.

Um, I can’t think of any modern shows with a “fat glorifying” episode. In fact, they couldn’t do that, because a normally-thin character can’t stay fat after the episode.
Because, Rainbow, they are making the joke that “behind the scenes” you and your friends are all the exact opposite of how you appear on the show. That’s why Twilight is shown aggressively working out instead of quietly studying, Pinkie is shown calmly meditating instead of wildly partying, and you are depicted overeating in front of a TV instead of indulging in your usual showy athleticism.
And I’m sure Rarity will end up being slovenly, Fluttershy will be loud and outgoing, and Applejack… actually I don’t know about Applejack. Maybe she’ll be eating an orange.
