Stop motion is an underrated art form. It’s a niche community rather than a mainstream one, and has always been such. Live actors, marionettes, and animatronics have always been favored and more common over it, as have cel animation. It’s simply the most expensive and time consuming way to shoot things, altering sets and props ever so slightly and taking snapshots of each position.
 
For that alone I only have praise for what they are doing. What’s going to be done with writing is another matter, and judgment should be reserved. Those who first came into FiM often found retroactively the series it drew the most from was less awful than they thought. Perhaps nothing great but certainly not unwatchable so long as you stay away from the cinema stuff.

The G5 series will premiere in 2022, there’s the movie before (that’ll premiere in September 2021).

Pony Life is going to both be an internet series and an TV series. Did you even read the info that Hasbro posted about it on their website?
 
From their website it says that we’re getting Pony Life as an Cartoon TV series later this year and the ones playing on the internet on YouTube right now are the Pony Life stop-motion toy mini-series.
 
And Hasbro will also release an g5 mlp cartoon TV series possibly at the end of this year or early next year in 2021.
 
So we’re getting 3 different mlp series and not just 2.
 
Hope this clears up the misunderstanding.
 
Yes, I know it’s hard to believe that Hasbro is doing 3 different mlp shows at the same time but that’s what is happening over at the Hasbro TV Studios right now.

Many people don’t look into a show’s quality beyond “lol cute ponies” such as plot, messaging, and character development. It’s unreasonable to expect everyone to be a film critic but it ought to be obvious to see where DHX went wrong over the years, and not complaining only allows problems to persist. Other fandoms including Star Wars and Star Trek are reasonably upset over how their favorite franchise was tarnished and we ought to be as well.

I don’t think anything can be as bad as TTG…

I find her kinda overrated honestly, no offense. Though, I don’t hate her, (sometimes she’s cool) and remember she used to get some drama too. I at least gave EqG a chance, and enjoyed the first few movies, and shorts, but kinda lost interest in it after awhile, and lost track of it. (Might catch up with it later, but sadly I don’t have access to it’s newer features & shorts.)
 
I can have negative opinions too, but I try to respect others with differing opinions too regardless. So I kinda dislike how some write me off as a “Hasdrone,” (yes, I’ve actually been called that) just because I have very few complaints about the MLP franchise, or because I’m not bothered by controversial things like Twilicorn, Flurry Heart, and PL.

It’s not even going to be an actual show, nor G5, it’s just going to be an internet series, so even if it’s bad, it’ll be easily avoidable.
 
I hope it’s at least amusing, so the drama will die down a li’l… But some fans seem intent on hating it, regardless how it turns out, so I doubt the drama will ever end… (Heck, some hate later seasons of FIM, and still hate EqG, so even those are controversial.)

Equestria Girls happened, and it passed us by, and no one died.
 
We got a full 9 seasons and a movie (two movies if you count that made-for-TV special) and they didn’t end in a complete garbagefire
 
Pony Life can be amazing or it can be garbage, it won’t matter. Time will passs, another show will drop.

Even if it’s not, I’m sure it’s hatedom will still insist it is constantly…

I know, right? They’re acting so overly dramatic! It’s not going to be as bad as they think, there’s no reason to freak out.

The jury is still out on that. We need some episodes before we’ll know
