No other character uses Celestia’s body shape. It’s entirely unique to her and her character. It is a staple of her character. Unique body shapes are given to elevate a character’s status in the show (E.X.: Luna, Cadence) and further distinguish this character’s silhouette. Especially with Celestia. Twilight is a recolour for using this body shape, but also for other reasons. For example, regalia and hair shape. The body shape is not the only thing they have in common.

The body is the only thing that is thr same.  
Many characters use the same bodies in the show

I agree. It’s also using the same very-unique mane style that Celestia is known for, very similar regalia (necklace, horseshoes, crown), same wings, same horn shape, etc.
 
But actually, it could just be the same body. Body shapes in FIM are actually very important for distinguishing characters, especially when Celestia is the only one with that body and it’s a staple of her character design. So, yeah, she is just a recolour.

I prefer this older Twilight over the ridiculous Celestia recolor in the finale.

I agree with you here. I would have loved to have seen Twilight in this form. Not every Alicorn has to grow up looking like Celestia. They can each be unique

To me, this is a better ending for the series. Showing Twilight hasn’t changed despite her age is something that seems more fitting than the new Twilight that came from it.
