Description
The show had quite a few major villains during it’s run time, here are the main villains from the series(I decided to include the sirens since they are so popular, and the windigoes too). Which villain was your favorite and which one was in your opinion the most competent one? Mine favorite was Sombra, and the most competent one I think was Tirek(starlight if not for her mental instability would have been my pick, as a villain she was very effective).

But don’t you see how Stygian peaks out of the Pony of Shadows’ chest? Stygian is a host to the Pony of Shadows.
Its not clear what the POS is, did he have a form before he (does it have a gender?) possessed stygion, did he fuse with stygion? It was left very ambiguous.
Yeah. But he Pony of Shadows isn’t a reformed villain.
Yes, but Stygian is inside the Pony of Shadows. It wouldn’t have a form without him, so that means he’s in the picture and therefore counts as a reformed villain.
He’s already here. But Stygian isn’t because The Pony of Shadows was like a ripoff between the Symbiotes from Marvel including Venom and Carnage and Stygian is like a ripoff between the Symbiotes’ hosts including Eddie Brock, Harry Osborn, and Flash Thompson.
What about Stygian/Pony of Shadows?
And one of the 4(Luna/NMM) only reformed pretty much due to being forcibly purified rather than being convinced pretty much.

They could touch more on her if they brought her back somehow.
Not as a copy/clone or some alternate timeline/dimension version, but like say she still exists within Luna(like no matter how hard Harmony tries to remove her, NMM will forever be part of Luna whenever anyone likes it or not).
And pretty much down the line more and more gets touched on about those dark powers and Luna having to deal with her darker split personality many times.
They probably could have done a lot more with her if she was the season 1 finale villain instead of the season 1 premiere villain. After all, in the pilot there was way more focus on introducing the mane six than giving Nightmare Moon much of a presence.
Just felt like there could have been much more with Luna’s darker self due to she was the first villain and the show kicked off with her story.
Grogar was a villain, and played a big part in creating equestria, it was a nod to G1 fans and he actually had a cool design, so while I understand the disappointment that he turned out be discord in disguise, I was a bit disappointed from it as well, I think what they ended up doing was great.
Maybe, I would have liked to see grogar’s full potential however the show stuff never intended for grogar to be the last villain, they built the season with the trio in my mind, not grogar(if they wanted grogar to play a big part they should have started giving him more screen time in frenemies already).
For what its worth, I loved the final product.
Would he though? I dunno, he seemed pretty bland and generic to me. At least the villain trio had personality and a reason to hate the Mane Six…which Grogar really didn’t have.
Can’t agree more. Quite fitting for sirens to have the best songs xD
The sirens are pretty endearing and fun to watch. But the main reason I love them is their songs, they are some of the best in G4!
