When Daybreaker took over, everyone expected an endless heatwave. Instead, she withdrew the sun and plunged the world into winter. Every year all the peoples who can make the pilgrimage come to worship her and beg for a summer, showering her with adoration, gifts and slaves.
 
 
Those communities who cannot make the journey face the wrath of the Valkyries. The strongest fliers in her kingdom, Daybreaker has enslaved them body and soul. They serve as the soldiers of her kingdom, and beasts of labor for her sadistic enjoyment.
 
She freely drives them past exhaustion and has no hesitation to brutally whip them for the slightest infraction. If they are somehow slain by an enemy or Daybreaker’s own hedonism, the once forbidden magics she has bound them with will revive them. Free of concern, she drives them into the teeth of the enemy, her burning whip bringing forth the Valkiries’ chorus in the form of screams.
 
Twilight, her once loyal student and a powerful witch in her own right, has turned on the princess and is seeking the legendary elements to bolster her ranks.
