Seeing as this is a different canon, (like say Sonic & Sonic Boom, or Tim Burton Batman, and Christopher Nolan Batman) and nothing hints that alicorn Twilight is a princess in this new canon, apparently alicorn doesn’t equal princess. (Maybe.)

Honestly I was expecting a quick Starlight Glimmer cameo in this episode. I guess I got used to seeing Trixie appearing in Starlight episodes in FIM that I was expecting Starlight to appear.
