It has always been a big point of confusion.  
The tfwiki have great list of where they have what colours.  
Apparently there where a bit of a war going on amongst IDW artists on what was right, as their comics had trouble keeping it consistent

True, but its not like anyone couldnt purchase them from the Japanese Market, and call one the others name, hell I have a 2007 Legends Class Movie Bumblebee with a Red Cliffjumper arm (from the Allspark Power subline from around the same time) that I repurpose as Sunstreaker

No, I totally got it right first time. I said that the comics and toys had Rumble red and Frenzy Blue while the cartoon and WFC games had Rumble blue and Frenzy red.

Well Demolition Rumble was going to be released in 2010 but was cancelled (like I said cowards) but the mold was used in Japanese markets as Rumble and Frenzy but in Japan they dubbed them to be consistent with their names IE Frenzy is and always be the blue one over there.

Rumble was blue in the G1 Cartoon and the High Moon Studios WFC games, Frenzy was Red
 
In the toyline, Rumble was Red, and Frenzy was Blue

You noticed that Frenzy is blue? That’s how he always was in the comics and toyline. As far as I know, they only made TF Rumble blue and Frenzy red in the cartoon or the War for Cybertron games.

I noticed that Soundwave deploy Frenzy but not Rumble. I wonder if they are goint to made a reference to MLP Rumble.
