@HumanoSiniestro
You obviously don’t know me very well, nor read all my posts, (and only judge me on an argument we had months/years ago) ‘cause I’ve actually stood up for people I disagree with on this site, and I’ve had friendly disagreements with people here, and respected many opinions different from mine. I even stood up for Disney Master, one of the times he was voicing a negative opinion politely on this site, and people were attacking him despite the fact, he insulted me, and called me a “Hasdrone” before. So I don’t usually hold things against people either.
I’m just saying our opinions on MLP aren’t “absolute,” and I just don’t wish to argue constantly, and it’s not an admission that I’m wrong, if I feel I can add no more to a discussion. When I feel I’m wrong about something, I admit it. I’ve even admitted I did something wrong to the admins here before.
It’s also kinda pointless of you to be attacking me personally, and trying to put me on trial here. If you have an issue with me, that’s fine, but don’t go around telling others I’m some “kinda bad guy,” and gossip about me, just because I don’t wish to argue for days with people like you. It gets tiresome, and I have a life outside the site. (In fact. honestly I’m having some IRL problems right now, so I don’t need somebody like you giving me schmitz, right now. You’re kinda beating somebody while they’re down, and I came here to relax. I don’t expect sympathy, but have some consideration.)
I must also admit, I have memory issues, so I tend to forget some discussion threads I’m in, so it’s something I can’t help sometimes, especially with all the threads I comment on.
@Beau Skunky
So what? You love to evade arguments, and you know it. You try to charge your white cap, or not? I don’t need to remind you how much you can’t be in a serious debate without saying OP to the people who disagree with you. Which is funny. And if you truly don’t care who’s right in on this site, then what are you doing here? Also, please, don’t come with that fallacy about nobody is right or wrong, because we are speaking of only one theme.
@HumanoSiniestro
Or maybe I’m just not a very aggressive/confrontational person whom likes to drag out discussions/arguments that are going nowhere longer then they need be?
And honestly, who the heck honestly cares who’s “right” on the My Little Pony website? Nobody is “right” about a li’l girl’s cartoon, it’s not a black or white issue.

I also kinda tire of not only that, but how those people oftentimes assume anyone that still likes/enjoys the show “blindly love everything about it,” or are against “negative criticism,” (there’s a difference between that, and “constantly bashing” or “demonizing show staff”) and such. Like if we still like the show, there’s something “wrong” with us. (And let’s not forget how the internet used to think anyone whom likes even the “good” seasons/episodes must be “crazy for liking a li’l girl show.”)
As you said, I have my complaints, (just today I said I felt the CMC and such were highly ignored in the EqGirls side-series) but they’re just minimal, and I feel the show’s done more good then bad, and enjoyed the finale.
Furthermore, it’s ironic now detractors are now saying they “miss” Megan McCarthy, and M.A. Larson, when years ago, when they worked on the show, they used to get constantly bashed by angry fans or ex-fans for “ruining the show forever,” and such.

Maybe to the vocal minority like you, but to the fanbase in general, we’re happy with what we were given, and will continue to look back on it with gratitude.
Exactly this. It does get a little old hearing people say things like, “The last few seasons and the ending are bad. You’re wrong if you disagree.”
Myself and many many people in the fandom enjoyed the series in its entirety. Sure there were some weak episodes. Sure the writing could have been better in some places. The show staff changed several times over the decade it was in production. But that doesn’t mean the show somehow became “bad” after a certain point just because it didn’t live up to your expectations. It just became different and evolved over time.

Even so, being the “Darkseid/Thanos of MLP” wouldn’t be enough, and one season isn’t enough to develop the ultimate villain.
I think I prefer the trio of villains honestly, and it was nice they weren’t just reduced to his flunkies.
@northern haste
Agreed, and might even require more things then that.
@Beau Skunky
What you said about Grogar may be true, but that is still on the writers. What they should have done was given him some depth as a character. Even if they couldn’t, that wouldn’t necessarily make him uninteresting. Take Darkseid, for instance. He’s generally more one-dimensional than Thanos, but his status as the ultimate villain and the extremely hard time he gives the heroes is usually enough to make him entertaining anyway.
I know it’s difficult for many to understand, but sometimes a series doesn’t always have to go the directions we wanted, and sometimes they end up better, because of that.
I admit, I wasn’t too keen on the controversial Groger twist, at first, but the more I thought about it, the more I understood why the showrunners did it. Tirek, Chrysalis, and Cozy were much more interesting, enjoyable, & already developed villains whom honestly made better villains for the finale, then just one new/old/rebooted villain would have.
Groger is just a random out-of-nowhere, boring, typical, doomsday villain, other then having a decent voice, and being a G1-canon nod, he’s honestly not that interesting, even in backstory, or design. (Let’s face it, he’s just a big goat/ram with a mean face.) If Groger was the final villain, he wouldn’t of done much differently then the trio would have, and he would’ve just been “Goat Thanos.”
So I’ve come to understand, and accept that.
@DaveMan1000
I’m sure I’d be happy with it too if I could just withhold my sense of disbelief and not consider all the glaring inconsistencies with the rest of the series.
