discord has changed a lot over the years

turning him to stone no matter what he’s done while he’s trying to be better would be very cruel

Discord didn’t deserve however many chances he got. He kept doing shit for 8 seasons yet is still allowed to roam free and keeps getting forgiven.

Discord teams up with Tirek and helps him steal all magic in Equestria. He is instantly forgiven by everyone. Discord sends Twilight and her friends on a fake friendship mission so he can cause chaos at the school of friendship and tries to kill students. Starlight and spike forgive him. Discord impersonates Grogar, revives every fucking villain in the show, gives them a powerful artifact and encourages them to take over Equestria. Not only is he forgiven again, but he’s even allowed to choose their punishment.

Discord has failed to reform many times and keeps getting away with shit. He should have been turned back to stone, and the stone statue should have been shattered into a million pieces scattered across time and space, so it would be impossible to be restored.

Scorpan: “I believed that my brother deserves to be remembered for his lifetime of dedicated and valiant service to our kingdom, and not for the tragic missteps that he made in his later years.”

Queen Chrysalis’ reasons for attacking Equestria and focusing all of his efforts on killing Starlight Glimmer is motivated solely by personal revenge at the believed murder of her own family, one that she has hidden behind her own queenly mask and the emphasis that Starlight Glimmer “Stole her Hive” because she doesn’t want to showcase the deep-seated emotional weakness of the supposed deaths of both her husband and their secret daughter, unaware that in-truth the both of them are still alive and well.
