Speaking of Transformers, the fact that G5 takes place in the far, FAR future of FiM reminds me of Beast Wars; in which the series was focused on the descendants of the Autobots and Decepticons: the Maximals and Predacons respectively.
Honestly, I hope they let them rest. Dropping in riffs to g4 stuff would be grand, and not interrupt the flow of whatever g5 is doing.
FiM did have a couple time travel plots. Hopefully they won’t have to go back to that well anytime soon.
