I'm hardly a fan of Derpy myself, but hey, if people want to draw her or whatever, it's their honest right.
Same with me making fun at the cost of Glimmer — both examples can be considered an old hat, but hey, who's
to say you can't do this or that?
Aside from that, people often make fun of the "don't think, consume" mindset that many companies tend to work around, but fandoms tend to operate on similar rules — For many, all is "a ok" as long as you follow generally accepted trends, or at least don't talk about them if you happen to have different opinion ;)
Derpy is a stupid BG character that became popular only because of her eyes, if anyone belongs in the garbage, it's the fans who have been putting her on a high pedestal and still believe she's the best character of the series.

It's fair to say that many things became a dead horse on the span of all those years, but hey
that doesn't stop people from drawing Derpy or recycling same memes over and over and over again.
Besides I only posted in on twitter, expecting it to be forgotten 5 minutes after being published.
I didn't even post it here or anywhere else — Made little fun out of fictional character and in exchange you
can see some folks all-too happy to try and offend me — again, over a fictional character ;)

To put it out there, I hold no grudge towards people trying to offend me over this drawing. But trust me,
we wouldn't have this conversation if someone didn't took this drawing personally — it would be forgotten
long time ago ;)
That said, however you want to intepret it it's your choice. I only had a little kick
out of this situation. If I was afraid of post stuff, especially something that wouldn't
fall in line of "popular" notions, I would probably be afraid to post anything at all,
sometimes you just have to do your thing, and try to have fun along the way, even if
not everyone (or anoyne) share your point of view. ;)

In all honesty I knew it may ruffle few feathers, BUT sometimes you just want to see what's gonna happen xD I mean, hey, that's the internet — I get to see a lot of cringe images (made by Starlight fanboys as well nonetheless), why not to return the favour at least once. ;)
Still, this drawing or even my own opinion about glimmer aside, who am I to you? You like what you like, and I'm allowed to do the same. If anything, it shows that even after all those years, the Starlight topic remains to be quite a touchy one. Whether you're happy/angry/neutral about my antics I wish you a nice day and the upcoming weekend ;)

Look at the abuse tags. Every character gets shit on constantly. Pretending to be offended at coarse language doesn't change that. Starlight isn't being persecuted, you aren't a victim here.
