I am not sure what you are trying to get at as I don’t see anything written. Perhaps Derp has bugged out?
The character was trans before the creator. As the character was the catalyst for the realization of being trans~
But Sex-change operations dont truly alter your sex, they just make cosmetic alterations to make you look like the opposite sex
My point is a wheel is still a wheel. Whether it’s a stone wheel from the caveman era of the wheel from a modern car, it’s still a wheel.
The fact that magic makes it easier is irrelevant. It’s still a form of altering your sex.
Good point about the default form. As for the other thing I wouldn’t compare hormones and surgery to shapeshifting, since one makes the target into a perfect copy of what they’re mimicking, while the other is purely cosmetic and is done through a rather crude method. Comparing our method to their method is like comparing a wheel made by a caveman to a race car

Changelings have a “true form”, don’t they? It’s just theoretically easier for them to transition.
Humanity has access to hormone replacement therapy and sex-change operations. It’s more difficult and expensive than just using magic to shapeshift, but it’s still an ability that we have as a species.
But is it really trans if they can shapeshift? Unless the shapeshifting doesn’t actually change their sex?
