Maybe Tempest’s scar looks very different to Scar’s. Scar got his scar from being bitten by a snake when he was leader of the Lion Guard. While Tempest gots her scar from an Ursa Minor who chopped off her horn as a filly. And also, both Scar and Tempest are scarred villains that takes over, ruled, conquered, wrecked, and takes over the main setting. But unlike Scar, Tempest had her master fully ruled, conquered, wrecked, and takes over the main setting of the MLP franchise. And of course, some parts of the film looks very similar to the Lion King. Which makes Equestria as the Pride Lands, the Mane Six and Spike as Simba and possibly Nala, Celestia, Luna, and Cadance as Mufasa, the Storm King and his Storm Army as Scar and the Hyenas, and Capper, Captain Celaeno and her crew, Princess Skystar, and possibly Queen Novo as Timon and Pumbaa in the My Little Pony movie.
