Eh, the way I see it is it all boils down to the writers desicion, sure it would have been nice to see he Chrysalis get redeemed in the end, but i think the writers decided to keep her as “the bad girl” only as a means to “teach a moral lesson” to the audience that if one keeps on that type of path in life, then they are only going to come up short in the end.
I’m only speaking my thoughts though, not trying to say my opinions are facts.
@Pause
Of course everyone is simping for Chrysalis because irredeemable evil. That’s the main argument you people put up. “You’re siding with her? I’m gonna call you a simp” because wow, that’s so original and absolutely objective in a discussion. It applies to everyone always and in every situation, of course.
@Pause
“Simping” yeah only from that single word elaboration is meaningless if I am to speak with a person who nows nothing of philosophy.
also she was given ONE not two…
and y know other characters shoved their chances for selfish reasons yet they get the FULL twilight friendship helper psychologist 24/7 and receive effort and help in order to change.
So instead of “sImPiNg” speaking common logic is more of the factual term for said people that “sImPiNg”.
We are not judging like self ascended “Better men” we are Prospecting as is the morally right thing to do. And most importantly we are FAIR.
Not gonna lie I myself done that but it was wrong i stoped it.
Given that she’s given two chances to go good and yet promptly shot both away in favor of revenge for selfish desires, the people saying she’s irredeemable hold more weight compared to the people simping for Chrysalis.
@nioniosbbbb
Why are you telling someone to grow the fuck up and “REE-ing” when they’re not even mad? If anything you’re making yourself look like you’re “REE-ing” about simple opinions.
@nioniosbbbb
I honestly see stuff like this as like an alternate time-line, which is a common staple in sci-fi and fantasy. So yeah I agree people just need to chill.
@H.L. Xkcess @NavelColt
I think you two need to grow tf up. Yall “REEEE”-ing at someone who saw Chrysalis and Thorax as an analogy to Omniman and Invincible. Mostly because it’s a grownup parental figure owning an inexperienced wannabe hero. It’s fitting that way.
I could spend hours droning on and on about how the comics are not canon for Chrysalis or that they are B canon or that Chrysalis was almost ready to take Starlight’s hoof yada yada yada.
Some people like you however will NEVER accept this. Yall are like walls. I was like that in regards to Chrysalis and the changelings and the hivemind fanon. Get a life, chill out. People are having fun here.
Whether Chrysalis deserves a redemption is entirely up to the choice of the writer. Nothing more, nothing less.
Except I’m fairly certain that Omniman eventually undergoes some kind of redemption in the comics, meanwhile Chrysalis never relented. The emotional climax of this scene wouldn’t fit these two.
I’ve seen a similar pic with Nightmare Moon and Celestia. Having seen the Invincible clip, I think that one is a little more in character than this one.
Look at what you made me do! All of this fighting just so you can watch everything around you die!! Think Thor!!! You will out-live every single insignificant thing in this land!!!! Everyone and Everything you know will be gone!!!!…What will you have after five-hundred years!!??
@H.L. Xkcess
Upon uploading the picture I remembered N. Gogol’s novel “Taras Bulba” in which The main character kills his son because he betrayed his country for a pink slit.

Even considering that what she was doing was wrong is enough proof that she has it in her. An irredeemable villain would never even give a fraction of thought of what he/she does. So lets be more objective and less judgemental.
Cheers!
@Lawrence Gordon
I have too but after 2020 and the revival of the Rickroll, the GTA V Lamar Davis scene, Morshu and the CD-I games, and even the goddamn troll advice comics, I’ll take anything even vaguely new at this point.
