Sure, that’s possible.
I just don’t see why it has to happen, why there can’t be some who are beyond saving.
I remember when most fans were relieved Chrysalis refused Starlight’s offer of friendship.
Let the bug queen stay a bad girl.

I’ll be disappointed if they’re unable to reform Chrysalis. I’m not saying it will be easy by any means, but I’m sure Twilight will do her best.
I think a good way for her to start would be to take an empathetic approach - “I saw what those ponies did, I understand why you’re angry, I don’t blame you for being angry.”
If she mentions friendship at all, it should be like “What those ponies did wasn’t true friendship, it was the misuse of friendship, and it was horrible.”

The dialogue in this comic is interesting,
but it will be even more interesting if at least one of these villains still cannot be reformed.
And if we had to choose one, it should be Chrysalis.
Because it’s nice to have a villain that doesn’t ever stop being a villain.
And because there are people that you really truly can never ‘fix’.

It is interesting how Chrysalis always personified friendship, both here and in “Frenemies” when she referred to it as a disease or an infection.
 
As I said in earlier posts, it’s going to be tough for Twilight to get through that.
