Plot twist : They sell them to griffons, and then griffons give them plant meals (which griffons do not like) in return.

not really norm is the norm and if it’s broken then there is something wrong, unless is creative like goth then it’s ok (but even at that it depends)

i agree with you i read everything too and the conclusion is that horses are herbivores and would only eat meat in bad situations like starvation but there is also curiosity, accident, or a person gave them meat but in normal situations, they won’t eat meat they are not made for it these ponies are understandable due to living in a cold place and what little grass there is it may not be as good or plentiful
 
so most of the time herbivores eat plants and would choose plants over meat unless in a bad situation or someone gave it to them
 
so I would not take this seriously and trust basic logic sue this is interesting but people still need to understand that is still not the norm
 
yes horses don’t talk and other things too but this is just art for an interesting pony concept with understandable conditions as to why they eat what they eat this is purely for art and fun and there is no need for anyone to argue just enjoy the work and that’s i have ponies who would eat meat in my work but is either they are like a new subspecies of pony or can turn into a carnivore like a wolf but not able to eat meat in their normal forms, that is a different situation too that they are made to eat meat and plants

I strongly suggest you read this. While horses are not going to go out of their way to eat meat, in a situation where they have no access to plants, they will search out and consume meat They are opportunistic carnivores, thus keeping their omnivore status. They just have a preference to eat plants when possible.
