@Lurks-no-More
We don’t know what’s in store for the future of G5. Who knows if the movie was to get our hopes up only for the series to be downgraded.
I think the G4 purists (along with the G5 purists) are the most childish of them all. It’s okay to criticise G5, but not when it goes down to angry rants like “I HATE THIS SHOW” or “YOU FANS ARE STUPID”.
Sometimes I wonder who is the most childish, the people who make these kinds of memes or those who agree with them.
Surely this is not meant to spread a message of tolerance, and then people are even surprised if there is so much intolerance in the fandom now.
@Daneasaur
I dont think the windigos are going to be important to the story.
G5 priority should be being its own thing not answering G4 questions.
Also it should not be in mandatory to watch g4 to understand g5 so basically they would also need to explain what the windigos are to explain Why they are not around. If they are going to do that it should be done in the show not the pilot movie that already has a bunch of stuff to explain
Is anybody else wondering if the railing against “g4 purists” is part of an attempt to drive a wedge between the fandom, or in the case that it isn’t if it’s unintentionally having that effect?
Even this very image attacks a strawman of their opinions and practically vilifies them. If there’s anything anybody should’ve learned from either generation of MLP, it’s that we should strive to get along and respect others’ differences, yet I’m seeing the exact opposite here.
We’re all here because Friendship is Magic captured our hearts, and some of us have differing opinions on the upcoming movie of A New Generation, but we can all enjoy what we love without throwing vitriol back and forth.
