My theory is that he had enough luck of floating under some rain after one or two days, drinking as much as he could & keeping some of the rainwater inside the “box” where the baloons were stored [ponies can turn around their heads & touch their backs with the muzzle, so he could drink from it].

It could simply be that it’s been so long, anypony who was alive back then is long gone and the history has been lost. That happens, especially when history is written with a very clear bias as is the case in the movie. Nopony remembers the station because nopony was alive when it was in use - it’s more accurate to say they simply never knew of it at all. Nopony remembers how they lost their magic because they weren’t alive when it happened, it’s simply always been gone.

Ponies are generally smaller than us so they probably don’t need as much as we do. It’s still fortunate that he survived, like the balloons didn’t get popped by sharp rocks or get stuck somewhere. :P

well according to studies t says that the average person is able to survive at least somewhere between 8 to 21 days without food or water.

No one believes in coincidences when it comes to movies where disasters and epoch-making events in advance remain unexplained. It is thus very strange that this bell - which by the way seems to be more visible than most others - appears at the beginning of the movie.
 
And at the end of the movie, we realized that it was not hatred, but fear that had made the ponies separate. Grogar`s magic is based on fear and hopelessness. The ponies simply had not fought each other or been in open conflict, when Alphabittle, Queen Haven and Phyllis are confronted with the loss of magic and the fact that they did not know about each other, they looked like they were waking up from a bad dream. Everyone had been obsessed with the idea of ​​fearing each other.
 
There are very, very few who are so magically strong that they can rival most experienced alicorns in knowledge and power - and we can rule out Discord. And even fewer who want fear from their enemies as subjects. The loss of magic just happened. It does not happen naturally or as a result of the ponies’ own actions. So the bell can be very important.

I agree, he’s only credited as “Balloon Pony” at the end but at least Ivory Cedar is a real name!

Ivory’s voice actually sounds pretty dang adorable here now that he’s saying something aside from screaming. I hope he appears in the series, whether canon gives him a different name or not.
 
(I honestly hope they go with Ivory Cedar, that seems to be gaining steam in the fandom already, the crew of FiM made fan nicknames canon in the past, and I think it suits him.)
