It was on Wizards of Waverly Place where magic wasn’t able to be casted on plastic objects like LEGO bricks, i honestly wouldn’t think it’s absurd that a tennis ball could be a natural suppressor of magic

It’d be the funniest friggin’ thing if it turned out that a tennis ball on the horn actually did suppress a unicorn’s ability to do magic and it just shocked everyone once it was discovered.

Do they seriously think a dang tennis ball is going to stop them from casting magic??!
UGH, they may be paranoid as the Pegasi border patrol, but at least the Earth pony military engineers at Canterlogic actually APPLIED actual technological sciences on magic suppression—even if their methods are unsound and unfound….

What the flying feather are you talking about? The green one is clearly male in the Polish dub.
 
The blue one (who is actually Zoom) sounds female, though the credits (maybe in error) list Zoom’s VA as Bartosz Martyna.

I just realized: Blue and Thunder… Blue Thunder… did someone on the writing staff try to pull of an obscure reference / joke?

I think that’ll depend on what dub you’re watching… I mean, the green pony (Thunder?) is clearly a female in the Polish dub while the blue one (Zoom Zephyrwing?) is very likely a female in the Brazilian Portuguese dub (I’m pretty sure their VA here wasn’t trying to sound like a colt, just like a gruff mare).
