My guess is that the exposition was more tolerable when I was watching the show piecemeal after school than when I was marathoning through it. Granted, it wasn’t as bad as either DB or DBZ, which are shows I can pretty safely say I don’t want to watch again due to all the incessant talking.
@Ebalosus
youth i suspect. for me the exposition was pretty cool. i might rewatch the og series and 02. shame its not on Netflix but thank god for other anime sites
I would like to rewatch the OG Digimon shows though, to see how they hold up now that I’m older and wiser. I did the same for Yu-Gi-Oh during the last lockdown here in NZ, and I was like “how did I ever put up with a show that’s like 80% exposition?!”
I wonder if the Mane Six’s spirits are in the crystals, if we combine all their colors together, it actually kind of looks like most of them are here, except for Applejack and maybe Fluttershy.
It can only be 10% of the alicornhood - but as Rainbow would say, “now she’s 20% cooler!” Her adventure as an alicorn has just begun, she will become permanent one day - possibly by ascending when she reaches 100%.
But she has demonstrated that she can be Twilight Sparkle’s future heir as Equestria’s sole ruler for many years into the future. All three leaders listened to her, and accepted her as a representative of them, and that is what the alicorns are; these represent the whole of the Ponykind.
I was just thinking Twighlight Sparkle should have sucked her into a matrix zone to sing her own “Celestia’s ballad.”
“You’ve come such a long, long way
And I’ve watched you from that very first day
To see how you might grow
To see what you might do”
