Hoh, I didn’t even realise the cutie mark ressemblance when I made that comment. Now I feel dumb.
Alhough it wouldn’t be the first time a pony is based off one from a previous generation, this gen is in fact a continuation of the previous one, so… It shall remain a mystery for now I guess!

I would guess so based on the shield in his cutie mark, but could just be an easter egg, with them not actually related.
Honestly, this comment right here makes me wonder if Hitch could somehow be related so Shining Armor, like a distant relative.
Hitch might be my favorite of the bunch. Kinda reminds me Shining Armor. Good big brother to all!
