G4 was political right from season 1. Most cartoons are. most movies are. That’s just the norm.

Though I guess we do live in a time where we are more aware of how insane some people’s political views are. Being progressive means enacting social reform to make life better for everyone. So i guess sunny could be classified as a “retrograde progressive” where she wants to make life better by returning to an ancient way of life from over a thousand years ago where the status quo was love and acceptance when at least the last 900 were ruled by fear and hatred.
 
This is one of the few cases i have seen in media of progressive goals being met by restoring something lost in the ancient past (the other one being Raya and the last dragon)

Not just political, but a specifically political: Nowadays if you don’t adhere or agree with a certain ideology, that automatically makes you against that ideology and thus, results in you being seen and labeled as extremist for simply having the “wrong opinion

Journos will see different messages based on their twisted mentality. Its not American political message but very universal about fear leading people to violence and conflicts. If anything the three tribes are closer to different cultures or Russia, Austria and Prussia and their wars or UK, France and Germany and their wars or China, Korea and Japan and their wars. In many cases the difference of culture and fear of other tribes led people to invest in military and war and most of it was caused by coward leaders wanting to exploit people to rule over others.

It is political but in a good way. All messages would make New York Times SEETHE because they dare to imply that Republicans and Democrats should become friends or that cops are cool and brave or that “them and us” mentality so strong in leftist media is actually toxic
