WHAT IF…SUNSET SHIMMER NEVER LEFT EQUESTRIA?
In the universe you are familiar with, Princess Celestia’s former student, Sunset Shimmer, developed a great amount of ambition for power. This would ultimately put her at odds with her teacher. She fled through a portal that brought her to an alternate dimension populated by human versions of Equestrians. She would eventually be set straight by Princess Twilight Sparkle and the human counterparts of her friends in Equestria and soon enough make peace with Celestia.
Yet what if her reconciliation with the Princess of the Sun happened much sooner? In this particular universe Celestia is able to convince Sunset not to go through the portal; and they even reach an understanding with each other.
Following this, Celestia decided to send Sunset to the town of Sire’s Hollow to help prepare for an upcoming Founder’s Day festival. Upon arriving Sunset soon met the event’s organizer, a stallion named Firelight. During the preparation Sunset would eventually meet Firelight’s daughter, Starlight Glimmer.
Attempts to befriend Starlight were futile, Sunset would soon find out. After many tries to get Starlight to participate in the festival preparation, Sunset was about to throw in the towel. But she was determined to get to the bottom of Starlight’s stubborn nature.
One day later, the festival finally began. Through a bit of deception and assistance from Firelight, Sunset managed to get Starlight to ride on a ferris wheel with her. Unfortunately, Starlight didn’t give up without a fight; or rather a chase. She teleported herself off the ferris wheel, but Susnet gave chase to her. After constant teleporting all over the town, Starlight finally unloaded verbally on the orange unicorn.
Starlight exclaimed that she had given up any chance of friendship after her childhood friend, Sunburst, left for Princess Celestia’s School for Gifted Unicorns after getting his cutie mark. Starlight went on blaming cutie marks for taking away the one friend she had; but she was cut off by Sunset. She revealed that Sunburst was her cousin. She offered Starlight to come with her to Canterlot to reunite with Sunburst and would also state that even if that wasn’t the case, there would still be others out there who were willing to be there for her. Sunset stated that she herself lost sight of friendship for a while but would realize that making new friends was worth the attempt.
Upon hearing this Starlight finally relented, and accepted Sunset’s offer and friendship. After enjoying the festival, both unicorns would one day later board a train and depart for Canterlot. Once they both arrived to Celestia’s school, it didn’t take them long to track down Sunburst. The reunion between Starlight and Sunburst did wonders for the both of them, because shortly afterward Starlight applied to become a new student of the school. The three unicorns would eventually meet another student of Princess Celestia, a lavender unicorn named Twilight Sparkle; and her assistant, a baby dragon named Spike. They would also become acquainted with a pegasus royal guard named Flash Sentry.
This gang of ponies and dragon would prove to be vital to the future of this universe, for when the time came for Nightmare Moon to return from her thousand year banishment to the moon they would be the new wielders of the Elements of Harmony; with Sunset herself being the Element of Magic.
This is only the beginning of our journey into the exploration of these vast and interesting universes and stories. I should warn you however, not all of them will have happy endings…

Chapter 1 What If… Spike was a Seventh Element-Bearer?
(alternate start of season 2)
The Mane 6 are knocked unconscious during the battle with Discord, but Spike uses the elements of harmony to defeat him, causing a seventh element to be spawned. And now Equestria values ​​Spike so much that Twilight has to save Equestria.
Chapter 2 What If… Will the Storm King take Moondancer instead of Fizzlepop Berrytwist?
(alternate start of The Movie 2017)
After Twilight rejects Moondancer’s party invitation, she felt sad and the next day she is kidnapped by the Storm King’s guards and Moondancer starts a new life conquering kingdoms and ignoring the main mission that is to steal the magic from the 4 princesses.
Chapter 3 What If… The Elements of Harmony Never Existed?

An assassin kills Twilight before sending her to Ponyville and the rest of the Mane 5 before meeting. Princess Celestia and Spike had to find her before the arrival of Nightmare Moon.
Chapter 4 What If… Will Starlight Glimmer take all the Magic of Equestria?
(alternate ending of season 4)
Starlight loses her best friend Sunburst in an accident. Instead of founding the equal town, Starlight decides to steal Lord Tirek’s necklace and begins to steal all the magic of Equestria to use it and resuscitate her best friend, but Princess Luna warns her that if she does that she could condemn her own reality, and deside to recruit Starlight from season 6 to stop Starlight Supreme.
Chapter 5 What If… Zombies?
(alternate ending of season 9)
Discord arrives in Ponyville to warn them of the impending attack by the Legion of Doom, but Discord discovers that the Mane 6 and the rest of Equestria had been transformed into Zombies. It all started when Starlight and Sunburst invite Sunset Shimmer to Twilight’s coronation, but in the world of Equestria Girls a dangerous virus had been released and the first patient to carry it devoured Sunset while traveling to Equestria, upon arrival she had transformed into zombie, not even the mane 6 could contain it, Starlight and Spike are the only ones to escape. Because of that Celestia cancels the coranacion and puts total quarantine, but it was too late. Now, the only survivors: Discord, Spike, Princess Cadance and Luna, Starlight and The Young Six would have to find the cure.
Chapter 6 What If… Fizzlepop Berrytwist was The Element of Magic?
(alternate start of season 8)
Twilight sacrifices herself to defeat the Storm King, they both die and leave Tempest, Spike, and the Mane 5 sad. But the Element of Magic chooses Tempest Shadow as the next carrier and restores her horn. Tempest joined Celestia’s royal guard, in order to defend against the upcoming threats in Equestria, but she was unaware that Twilight’s Cutie Map had expanded and the leaders of an clandestine organization were the evil Young Six. The Young Six wouldn’t be evil if Twilight hadn’t founded the School of Friendship, a unicorn was saved but a princess was lost.
Chapter 7 What If… Cozy Glow is the Daughter of Princess Celestia?!
(alternate ending of season 8)
Before the founding of the School of Friendship, Celestia suits a little pegasus pony named Cozy Glow. Celestia focused more on her than on Twilight’s School of Friendship. Celestia orders Cozy Glow to steal magic from Equestria and use it for a graduation party in Canterlot. Celestia takes pride in her transforming her into an alicorn. After accepting a date with Rumble, a mysterious portal opens and a swarm of enhanced Changelings comes out and Infinity Chrysalis appears.
Chapter 8 What If… Queen Chrysalis had won?
(alternate ending of season 2)
Instead of waxing Twilight in the deep caves, Chrysalis destroys Twilight and the wedding goes right as she had planned. After draining Shining Armor’s love, unleash an invasion of Changelings capturing everyone and transforming them into Changeling. After Canterlot fell, Chrysalis finds the elements of Harmony and the Alicorn Amulet, and also destroys the King Sombra, stealing his horn and the Crystal Heart and submerging them into one and she transforms into an Infinity Chrysalis and creates an army enhanced Changelings. After conquering and destroying Equestria, she has realized the existence of the multiverse and attacks the Watcher. They fight through the multiverse until Chrysalis gains the upper hand. The Watcher flees and reluctantly asks Starlight Supreme for help.
Chapter Final What If… The Watcher Broke His Oath?
The Watcher seeks out and recruits the Spike, Moondancer, Fizzlepop Berrytwist, Cozy Glow, and a variant of Sunset Shimmer in which she condemned Equestria and Canterlot High. and along with Starlight Supreme, he establishes a team nicknamed the Guardians of the Multiverse to fight Infinity Chrysalis.
