Greetings fellow Ponys.

You all know Nightmare Night.
It is one of our anual Events, where Ponys donate Candys to calm down the Nightmare of the Night for another Year.
Well, the Harmony 7 have banished Nightmare Moon from Luna long ago, but this Event is so popular that it is still going on today.
Usual it is a normal, peacefull Event, but not this Time.

It was the Morning of the Day before Nightmare Night, but it was still dark outside.
The Sun has not rised this Morning and only a blood red Moon was in the Sky.
Queen Cadance could not explain the Situation, so she send a Unit of her Guards to Silver Shoal, where Celestia and Luna are living since their Retirement.
Just one of the six Guards came back, badly injured.
He told his Queen, what has happened in Silver Shoal.

The Town was overrun by strange Creatures, he never has seen before.
It was not possible to tell, what they are or what Race.
He described them as strange Creatures with a Pear like Form, hollow, empty Eyes and a Maw with pointed Teeth.
They maybe have kill every Pony in Silver Shoal and the Guard told his Queen, how his Unit found the destroyed Town, with Corpses and Bodyparts on the blood covered Streets.

On the Way to the “Maretime Manor”, the Retirement Home of the former Rulers of Equestria, the Unit was attacked by this Creatures and three of the Guards has been killed.
The remaining three Guards could escape and reached the Manor, still folowed by some of the Creatures.
A fourth Guard sacrified himself, to close the Gate to the enclosed Area of the Building, so the Creatures could not follow the other Guards.

The Guards found the Manor without any visible Damages, maybe because of the strong metal Fence around it.
The Building was completly dark, you could not see anything unusual, just an emty House with no Signs of Celestia or Luna.
The Building felt cold and a light Fog was in the Air, making the Visibility even worse.
The Guards explored the House, but none of the Sisters could be found.

A sinister Giggling made their fur stand on end, but they could see nopony in this House.
“What is going on here?” one of the Guards asked and got his answer by some Books from the Shelfes, who started to float around in a red glow and throwed themself at him.
Some Chairs started to fly around a rattling Dining Table.
A Pumpkin on it was jumping on the Table and added a rhyrmic banging Sound to the Scene, as if the haunted House has a giant beating Heart.
The Guards, scared to dead, could not get a straigt Thought as one of the Guards hear the other scream.
The floating Furniture dropped on the Floor, leaving Chaos and complete Silence.

Turning around, he saw the other guard, who has screamed, standing at a Door to an completly dark Room.
The Guard was staring to him but said nothing.
A while he starred at the Guard in the Door and then he saw the Guards Hoofes hovered, he was standing in the Air.
The Guard could not understand this, how can he stand in the Air?
But then he saw a Pair of glowing red Eyes opening over the Head of the hovering Guard and the Giggeling started again.
The hovering Guard was moving a bit in the Room and then he saw her.
He dropped his Spear and started to shake in Panic.

Everypony know Nightmare Moon, the evil black Alicorn, so the Guard knowed how a Nightmare Pony would look like.
She was big, covered in black Fur, with a long black Horn and big black Wings.
It was to dark to see every Detail, but she wore an silver Plate Armor with sharp Shoulders, who looked like Blades, armored Boots, who cover her Legs to the middle of her upper Leg and some Sort of Helmet, who was just covering parts of her Face.
She was Holding the other Guard, who obviosly was dead in Front of her, like a Shield, but as he dropped his Weapon in Fear, she throwed the dead Guard in the Room and he could see the Back of the Guard.
The guard had a heavy Injury on his Back and it looked like she has use his Spine as Handle to carry the Guard.

The remaining Guard dropped on his Knee, while a violent Nausea seized him.
The Nightmare Pony in front of him watched him with a cold, mercyless Stare.
His mind wanted him to flee, but he could not move a Finger, all his Strenght has leave his Body.
The only he could do was to look at her.
She smiled and showed her Pointed Teeth, but this was not a nice Smile, it was pure Evil.
If he had meet her in another Situation, she would be absolutly his Taste of Mares.
A stunning beutyfull Face with full Lips, long Eyelashed, a very sexy Figure with big round Breasts and long red Hair.
But this was not a normal Mare, like the ones he had invited into his Bedchamber in the Past, to have some relaxing Fun, this Mare there was his Enemy, who killed his Team.

“Ooh, looks like you are all alone now.” she said in a melodic, but ice cold Voice, “Hmmm, what we should do with you now?”
“How is this … possible?” the Guard stammered, “They have banished … Nightmare Moon … Years ago.”
“Nighmare Moon?” she asked and started to laught, “She was a Failure, who has lost against some Foals!” she spat into his Face with hatefull burning Eyes.
“Who, who are you?” the Guard asked with a low frighted Voice.
“We allow you to call us Scarlet.” she said and was now looking on him like a hungry Predator who has get a new Victim.
“We think, we will order you to serve us.” she say with a evil Grin, “Maybe we kill you painless, after you have done your Duty.”
With horror he saw her lowering herself over him and could only scream.
A Scream unheard in the dead Town of Silver Shoals.
