The twin thing wasn’t cannon, it was brought up in a kids magazine before the movie came out.
When people asked, we’re they twins she said no.
I would rather take the word of one of the writers as opposed to a magazine

What? At least write a complete sentence if you want to be understood.
I think you meant to imply that being from a “screen writer” gives some special status to a tweet. It doesn’t. Canon is what’s in the finished work, no more and no less. All else is headcanon, including what the creators might say.

Siblings becoming taller is a common thing. My little brother eventually grew taller than me even though I used to be taller.
Zipp’s the elder sister here, though. Apparently she was scrawny as a foal and didn’t her growth spurt until later. Or Pipp was an early bloomer who stunted out partway. Or both.

We are not sure.
My headcanon is that they are in fact twins, but Pipp was born underdeveloped and weak, which explains her small stature and wings today. She spent a long time in the ICU and doctors thought she wouldn’t make it, but she was a fighter. It also led to a strained early relationship between Zipp and Haven since Haven worried a lot over the weaker Pipp but didn’t spend much time with healthy and energetic Zipp.
