That makes a lot of sense… And gives me another appreciation for the line style in general. I should look into using it a little more…

Also, sorry for this response being so far out! I swear I had the notifications opened in tabs at one point, but then had to deal with a series of system crashes that kept losing my tabs, so they kind of got lost in the aether for a while… ^_^;

I’m glad you like the crayon-like lineart! I find it very fun and freeing to work with as I don’t get as caught up about the lines and everything being perfect when I work with it; I just kind of let go and have fun when doing this style of lineart.

And thanks for noticing the looseness of the shirts! I’m glad it translated well from what I was envisioning in my mind when drawing it.

Just throwing in my own two-cents on liking the manestyles. They look so crystal-y and waterproof! And yet somehow aquatic… Very fitting.

I also like how you’ve done the clothing, with clear articulation to it being loose and casual through the raised straps and wrinkles. It also gives contrast to each of their figures without being too glaring, due to other nearby background elements - the towel designs for Celestia, and the pale tile for Luna.

And a proper mention that I really enjoy your crayon-ish line style… It feels so friendly and familiar.

Thanks! And yeah, I wasn’t sure how to shade the hair on this, so I went with a shiny gloss effect because their hair is magical and shimmery anyways! I usually do more detailed hair, but I thought on this piece it would take away from the relaxing atmosphere.
