Oh wait…close minded/closed minded…ah I see the problem here,I read your statement wrong,my apologies.I thought the problem was between the meaning of narrow or close minded, not close or closed. still the commenter I responded too before was quite small-minded I believe.

I know what narrow-minded means. I know what closed-minded means. The original post said “close-minded” and I pointed out that “close-minded” is a nonsense phrase. The actual term is “closed-minded”.
I don’t know how to make that any more clear? I apologize if I’m not communicating effectively.

Correction:
Not a typo, rather this is a malapropism. That is, mistakenly substituting one word for a similar-sounding word with a completely different meaning.

Yeah, they’re still kind of tiptoeing around it. Like with the Gems they can make them as les as they want because if anyone complains they can say “what are you talking about, Gems have no genders they just all look and sound female!” And with lyrabon “what are you talking about, those aren’t bedroom eyes, those are BEST FRIEND eyes!” But virtually no heat for SU, most parents aren’t as insanely homophobic as kids’ show producers give them credit for.

It’s out of context. I don’t think that Larson intended to refer the fan shippers. Shippings are just in the ignore section just like the r34.

As far as I’m concerned, LyraBon was just confirmed canon. (Well, as close as any same-sex pairing in “My Little Pony” is ever going to get.)
Now, Octavia and Vinyl, or Derpy and Doc Hooves – the other two obvious pairings in this episode – you can take either way, depending on how you want to ship things or not. But here, their body language, the way they say “best friend”, really the whole interaction between Lyra and Bon-Bon pretty much screams “Hi, we’re a lesbian couple deeply in love!”
