well, he probably suffered a bit, but Im quite sure it’s not really that bad for him. After all, as I said, there are ways to get paid by Patreon, so nothing really should have changed for him (considered Racoon has ability to google)
Smaller artists, on the other hand, do suffer significantly. At least from what I now. I myself had to find a regular job, since people just refuse to take commissions from the bad evil russian me :)

Well, to get out on vacation for a several weeks yes. But moving abroad and making new life in foreign country requires too much money and responsibilities. Even if we talk about post-soviet republics where Russian language is common.

But yes, there’s nothing bad to stay in country where you were born and grown up.

Patreon and PayPal issues are much more dangerous for small artists, believe me. Besides, there are actually legal ways to get paid by Patreon, Racoon just seems to be a bit lazy to search for them.

Holy shit, first people thought that this post was a scam and now several people are showing zero sympathy for an artist that might have just lost his main source of income because his tyrant leader started a war that was completely out of his control.

Racoon-kun didn’t start the war. He didn’t contribute to the war. He didn’t even support the war. If you like the guy’s art and want to help him not starve, then stop trying to convince yourself that he personally deserved this and try to help him out.

But, really, we dont want to leave our home just because PayPal stopped working and McDonalds are down. This conflict will end, sooner or later, and most of sanctions will be canceled. Or just outsmarted. Just a matter of time.
I don’t really see any real reason to leave Russia right now. Esp now, when the whole western world hates us for being born here.

Anybody who publicly opposes the war is immediately arrested. There are literally videos that show this happening in real time. But don’t take my word for it. Look it up. Also, many of the people who “support” the war online could be Government-funded bot accounts, something that Russia has literally been caught doing in order to sow chaos in America. There are SOME Russians who support the war by choice, yes. But many others either oppose it or have just been misled by Putin’s strong arm of misinformation and propaganda, which he is VERY good at. But there are many other Russians who oppose the war. Ukraine is their next door neighbor. Many Russians have friends and relatives that live there.

Please, look it up.

Do you know, that Russia isn’t first world country, so about 80% of people aren’t rich enough to move anywhere? According to statistics. And very funny to read your comments because Ukraine, Baltics and probably more states now call to ban Russians from visiting other countries.

Besides, if you don’t live in world of ponies and didn’t skip history class, you should understand that mass protests and rebellion have to be caused by something. So logic and history say that it should be caused by defeating of their army on front and lower quality of live due to war (like late WW1 in Russia or American invasion in Vietnam).
And when international western companies demonstratively leave the country, in social networks people try to cancel Russia as a nation, and politicans want to ban Russians from visiting Europe, this only leads to consolidation around the current Russian government.

So your plan sucks, and take a report for nationality slur.

Leaving Russia is not that easy if you don’t have money or great job skills. And it’s only going to become harder as EU countries stop letting most Russians in.

A lot of Russians opposing the war stay in Russia. Some protest, some do more undercover things like painting slogans or burning down military recruitment centers (“voyenkomat”s).
