your current filter.yeah apparently Nintendo did change that. I remember the original tags on super Mario 2 though.
In Japan, Birdo is known as Catherine. Nintendo of America initially called him a guy like the Japanese games, but later changed it to a female after the Super Mario Bros. 2 manual described Birdo as “He thinks he’s a girl and shoots eggs from his mouth.” Birdo has been depicted as a female ever since.

You do realize that Birdo is a transgender right? Birdo is a guy.
If Applejack is Princess Daisy (which is also fine for me), that automatically makes Pinkie Pie as Princess Peach (since both Pinkie and Applejack are the same colors and species as Peach and Daisy), and it also makes more sense if Spike was Yoshi (since they’re both reptile species), automatically making Rarity as Birdo (since Spike is engaged with Rarity). And Twilight is better off as Rosalina, since they’re both magical experts.
