Okay then but to put down one console just for not having better hardware is still a stupid thing, if I can get a more enjoyable games from one with less powerful hardware I will like it more then one that has more power but the games are just ‘meh’.

I think you took it out of context, he was satirizing how some put Nintendo down for Sony for “hardcore gameing”, not saying that they don’t change thing, I could be wrong but with the other stuff in that comment it looked like the comment was satire.

Because of those “super advanced graphics” (That I have stopped giving half-a-fuck about since Half-Life 2) increase production values by millions of dollars, and because of that huge initial investiment, AAA gaming is too scared to try anything new, so they just keep making the same games over and over and over again. There’s no courage to try anything new anymore, because one fuck up can tank an entire company.  
There’s a reason why I’m more excited for Starbound than GunShootKill 5.

I’m pretty that is what Tyrranux was pointing out when he was talking about with “Nintendo’s risky moves to increase gameplay possibilities” but you pointed out the PS4’s controller as something to disprove it, when it was done on Nintendo systems and some people acting like it’s a dumb move by them.

Yes, they can “afford it”, but they better damn see their investiments come back, otherwise they’ll go under with one bad yet ludicrously expensive game.
 
Seriously, I fucking hate the mentality that “better graphics = better game” nowdays, it’s one of the many things that’s slowly suffocating the industry.

By that logic neither did nintendo since there were touchsceens and tablets around long before.
 
It is not that there are touch pads that have been around before it is that you can add one thing to another to open a new line of ability.  
You could use the touch pad to make up for lack of control options.  
I can think of 12 different actions that could work as 12 different buttons with a touch pad rather than adding 12 extra buttons to the controller.  
Open up games to a wider control.

Look you may not like the idea of it but not everyone likes to play the same way, it’s fine that it’s there, no one is forcing you to use it, you don’t want to use it then don’t play a game that uses it.

Why the hell do we need a touchscreen anyway? When i play a game i want to concentrate on the tv/monitor and not my controller.

I was pointing out how touch being used for games was done before, heck you want a game with a touch pad look at a laptops, touchpad mouse.  
My point is the same, Sony didn’t do anything new or innovative with that.

This, I’m more likely to buy a Nintendo system on launch then any other as I know I’ll like the game, don’t care about the hardware, and at lest a year before thinking of buying the PS4, and I haven’t bought any game systems at launch other then N64.

And yet there will still be shitty games on the PS4 despite its horse power. I’ve seen games that run on barely one Gigabyte of memory that were vastly superior to half the shit in modern games, it’s not the amount of horse power you have to work with, it’s what do you with the horse power you got that’s important. And that’s why the PS4’s capabilities as a console will be rendered irrelevant if most of its games rely more on the horse power than the gameplay.
 
But of course people will buy it anyway not caring of the actual quality of the games as long as we can render that old man’s face in true HD definition down to the last hair cause that’s what’s truly important right?

Sorry but I have to say that argument is stupid, I pay games on consoles and on PC and I find the argument of hardware to be pointless, a PC(even a gameing PC) are not made to the same standards as a game console, I mean it’s like comparing an mp3 player to a gameboy.
