Also, I agree with @Sgtnolisten here. It would be much better if both sides put their dicks back into their trousers and have a proper discussion with each other, rather than go to such extremes.
You realize changelings feed on love, right? Adding changelings to a population can only reduce the total amount of love available - it’s basic biological fact.
No, they can’t really help being deadly parasites, but the fact is, they are. Cutting them slack will only make the problem worse.

But why? Isn’t that the same dilemma as Shepherd’s? How can a hive be responsible for the cracked out thoughts of its queens? I say we should attune them to a new queen! Then they shall become reliably loyal subjects to the Empire, empowering the Crystal Heart to three times its original size! Yes, this sounds like a workable plan!
