If the most caring force the world has ever known is devastated to such a point of cynicism what hope be there for the rest? Therefore FiM must be saved in order to save the rest of the world!

I know right. If those people put as much time and effort in griping about things that really matter (like the unlimited expansion of government power, and changing the ending to ME3) as they do regarding FiM, then the world would be a better place

It may not of been her intention, but that is what will now happen. Adam’s comment is certainly unwarranted, and as another BP mentioned, probably hurt to have him say the show is better off without her.

But his “punishment” for it so to speak should not be as severe the dox’ing and DDoS’ing that the fandom now has in store for him. She is referred to Queen Faust, Mother Faust, Fausticorn and all manner of names out of admiration. The fandom loves her, and rightfully so. But if she didn’t think that the fandom would attack him with their fullest force, as I mentioned in my first comment, she is naive to think so.

She said she felt “awful”, not “offended”. While she left the show voluntarily, it was obviously a difficult (maybe even painful) choice; several of her recent tweets made it clear she still misses working on the show she created. I can imagine someone telling her the show improved in her absence would be like rubbing salt in an open wound.

death thetas and profanities don’t wroth a response. a guy who tells another person that he is better then you and send you a copy of the message because he don’t know how the site works dose. (he is also much more likely to apologizes)

Lauren is pretty famous. 50,000+ followers is evidence of this. Like all famous people, she no doubt receives insults and death threats on a daily basis. Hundreds, thousands of comments everyday, addressing her directly, just like this guy did, calling her the foulest things under the sun.
 
Yet she’s suddenly chooses to put this random guy in the stoplight, with a comment nowhere near as offensive as some of the other stuff she no doubt receives. Why? If she’s just subtly making a personal army request, why pick this guy? He’s only got 75 followers. They are way better targets.

Funny how if the names were switched and Meghan was offended, everyone would tell her to get over it. It’s not like Lauren has never received criticism or hate messages before. Why bring attention to this single guy? She’d have to be very naive to think an army of Faustdrones wouldn’t descend upon him.

I’m thinking of creating a Twitter account just so that I can thank Lauren for doing a good job with the show.

This is getting heated. You know what time it is!  

Keeping it honest, though, the best episode bar HAS been raised with McCarthy around, but at the same time we’re also getting a lot of inconsistent character development and bad episodes as well.
 
We’re getting the good, sure, but we’re also getting the mediocre in droves. Season 3 has 2 of my top 5 episodes in the series:  
“Sleepless” and “Magic Duel”, but all but 2 of my bottom 5 as well and 4 that rate as “mediocre” out of 13. That’s a BIG hit and miss.
