@sargesprinkles
You see? That’s what I like about her. She’s not as quirky as the others, but she’s consistent and she has plenty of good traits.
And funnily enough, a lot of people who don’t care about her like Big Macintosh even though he has many of the same traits as she does, but is less relevant to the story. I wonder why that might be?
@Itsthinking
Idk about any of that.
I just don’t find anything impressive about her character in a show like this.
The other characters are a lot more dynamic and have a lot more varied/interesting episodes, which is what makes the show work and propels the genre forward ultimately.
So calling AJ best pony to me sounds like complimenting the construction worker who had the easiest job because he wasn’t as tired after building something.
If you consider apologetic depictions of Southerners clearly written by someone who wanted to attract a certain audience to the character realistic, then sure.
In my opinion, AJ is the most stale character. You want a realistic character? Almost nobody is actually as one-note as AJ is.
@Itsthinking
you make it sound like a crime
i like her because she is the most realistic and normal character plus she’s likable
i like oddball off the wall characters too, but they eventually get stale
i’ve always been a fan of the stable and reliable type. they are the backbone of the story
Applejack is horribly underrated, in my opinion. She’s friendly, sensible, and manages to be badass without any special abilities like flight or magic, but I suspect her brother may have a bigger fan following than she does.
At the risk of being redundant since someone above me already wrote this…
Yes. Rarity.
But AJ is a close second in my book. If counted as a separate character, Pinkamena beats them both. (why? because I like Pinkie when she stops being a genki girl)
