hey! Are you using the term Toxic to describe it? That’s ableist towards people named after that word like me, you privileged, cisgendered, white male, supremacist, racist, unsympathetic and satanic mongrel!!

The rainbow rocks thing already caused a big enough shitstorm…I don’t think this reminder will help any.

Okay, I was caught up in a moment of bitterness and did fail massively at acknowledging your point. Sorry about that.
Background Pony #E5B7
but in the end, is this REALLY worse than McCarthy’s push to give Twilight a rainbow kingdom in this season’s finale and make twilight a special special princess?

I mean, that’s pretty much aiming the lowest denominator for the target audience they can, at the expense of the show and group dynamic.

Usually when countering an argument, one tries to counter the argument. Clearly you didn’t even get my argument, because I obviously know the target audience is young, but a young audience doesn’t necessitate a shitty product. In fact, a young audience should be an incentive to make your product not shit.

@Daruqe
Or just younger?

At least the target audience and you share something in common: A lack of maturity.

And they do. Look at the comics, the Funko MLP figures, the licensed T-shirts…hell, we have boxers and bras with ponies on them, and last time I checked, little girls have no need to wear bras.

And what about the large hoodies, and the perfume, and the wallets, and the business card holders? The ID holders, hats/bracelets stamped with the word “brony”, and such?

I bet I could go on.

So I guess the Hasbro company are saying ‘more bronies=more money.’ And here I thought the community were exaggerating over nothing due to small changes.
Also, you misunderstood my problem with the princess comment. I never said I had a problem with Twilight becoming a princess. I said I had a problem with Megan little comment which probably explains why she made her into a princess.
Background Pony #E5B7
@Ledvi

It doesn’t matter if it offends you or not, all that matters is if it makes more money or not.

If it makes more money than doing everything that you listed as being good: then guess what, that’s what hasbro is going to do. Because hasbro isn’t here to make an art statement, they would whore the franchise out in a second if it made more money.

And Being a princess is twilight’s new destiny: so her learning about how to be a princess is her New goal in life, whether bronies like it or not, that’s McCarthy’s decision, and she’s going to stick with it.
As such, its going to be the princess train all the way with twilight from now on, and the movie just followed that.

‘Mentioning her vision is absurd.’
No. Saying that ‘every girl wants to be a princess’ is absurd. Making a movie that focus on Twilight going to high school and instead of focusing her goal, she gets side track because it’s a movie and we got like sixty minutes or more on it so fuck logic. That’s absurd. Blaming the brony community for not liking the film because they make humanized fanart rather than the writers, or character designers and assuming that that’s the kind of film we wanted. Not only is that absurding, but extremely rude to the fans themselves. That’s like saying that they’ll make a violent MLP movie because they’ve heard of the fanfic ‘Cupcakes.’ Look, I’m not saying we should hire Lauren again, but when she explains her action, it’s mostly true. That every girl are not always playing tea party, dolls etc. Cause if that’s the case tomboys won’t exist. I like Lauren’s idea more because just like everyone else, she is sick and tired of seeing the same girl stereotype bullshit in every other girl cartoons. All it took was to take away the girl stereotype, slap some personalities, likes/dislikes, long or short term goals, and actual lessons that is suitable for all ages. I’ve heard or read comments saying that bronies wanted to see more violence, but that’s not what the show was made for, let alone grow popular. If you wanted to see that kind of stuff go watch PPG. The second season was fine without Lauren. In fact it’s my all time favorite season. The third season was a mess both premiere and finale. Equestria Girls was a terrible film because it goes against every reason why I (if not, the brony communities) enjoy the show itself.The fourth season premiere was okay. It wasn’t at the same level as the second season, but it was an improvement to the third. But regardless, this season has improved a little. I’m still a little bit worried on how they will end the fourth season with the ‘rainbow power’ shit follow by this. But like I said, I liked Lauren’s idea a bit more than Megan.

yes. the Woman who matters the same as a hasbro executives shit nowadays.

She’s gone, what she would do is meaningless because hasbro’s in control. Mentioning her vision is absurd, when the only vision that will affect the show now is Hasbro and McCarthy’s vision.

And McCarthy seems to enjoy Making twilight all about being a princess and Making humans. She is the one after all who created a movie about twilight leaving on a wizard of oz style quest without the other 5 to the human world.

@Background Pony #8A37
You mean the same person who’s responsible for making the show extremely popular due to the fact that she wanted the characters to have actual personality and long term goals that anyone can relate to rather than having a show where its all about finding boys, sleepover, cooking, shopping, and this ‘every girl wants to be a fucking princess?’ Yeah, that woman.
Background Pony #E5B7
@kassarc16

Yes, because Racist slave owners obviously were all knowing.
We should bring back all the stuff they had in the original constitution because, founding fathers.
Background Pony #E5B7
@Ledvi

You mean the person who doesn’t work on the show and left under strange circumstances? The person who has zero input or impact on the show?

yeah, she’s really important.
