Of course they have blood and nerves in them, didn’t you ever had a stubborn loose tooth as a kid? Its why root canals are legendarily painful.
And if your teeth aren’t healthy, you become even more sensitive to things like temperature.
They have nerves and blood vessels embedded inside your tooth which are highly sensitive to temperature change. Cold in particular because it causes said blood vessels to contract.
Probably has something to do with the gums around the teeth.
How can teeth be sensitive? Their nothing but enamel aren’t they?

I don’t think that you can eat an ice cream cone by biting it, I tried that and my teeth hurt like hell. Ice creams like Feasts or Magnums you can bite, but you have to lick Ice cream cones. Unless you want frozen teeth.
I’ve always done that cause it’s the tastiest way to lick ice cream, and to make sure I don’t miss a drop. Since Ice cream is yummy and because I don’t want to get messy.
I’ve never thought to look at someone else licking their ice cream before.
