A few weeks after the Mane 6 returned the Elements of Harmony to the Tree that bore them, Twilight sensed a rather abnormally large amount of magical activity coming from within the Everfree Forest and decided to investigate and confront whatever was causing the disturbance.
 
The closer Twilight came to the source, the more she realized that the location of the surge was coming from the cave where the Tree of Harmony still resided. Worried that the Tree was being threatened again by some new malevolent force, Twilight rushed inside, only to be greeted by a tall and majestic unicorn unlike any she’d met before.
 
The strange creature, easily towering over Twilight, regarded the young alicorn with a gentle smile, lowering her head to a more appropriate level to speak. Her words were few, but she spoke softly so as to avoid further startling the already flustered mare before her.
 
“Hello, little one.”

Me, too! Somebody tell Hasbro about this–she’d even make a good toy.

I am in love with this design, and this concept. I could see her interactions with everything after being turned into a unicorn being awkward, such as learning what “smells” are, or the concept of proximity.

Treebeard isn’t quite that old, IIRC, though close. More like Tom Bombadil.

Either way this creature is ancient beyond all reckoning, almost beyond time itself. Like Treebeard from LotR, she was around when the world was being made. Probably older than Celestia and Luna put together.
