Maybe Applejack gets replaced by Vinyl Scratch in Season 5? Somehow? Fluttershy permanently turns into a Dracony or whatever so now Rainbow is the token Pegasus and Pinkie is the token Mud Pony?

I thought the writing in this particular episode was superb. If you’re referring to other episodes where they were admittedly lazily written then I can concur, but this episode had an excellent plot.
Agreed. I also wish they wouldn’t always tie Rarity episodes with dresses and fashion somehow. Sure close family relations are a thing for Applejack and fashion is a thing for Rarity but a little variety would be nice.
