I like how well Rarity fits here, She can make things look GORGEOUS, but can sometimes emit a high-pitched whine and completely break down when faced with the slightest issue.
On a perfect day, if the wind blew just right, I’d have all of them and avoid the console wars drama altogether. Unfortunately, I haven’t that much in my bank account.
I’ll pick neither. I’ve just seen a degradation in the gaming scene where flashy action elements are used to mask poor gameplay, weak story elements, shi**y character designs, a combination of the above or all of the above, or game developers try to outright deceive players, much like that horribe Aliens: Colonial Marines game.
Personally I’d stick with a desktop tower computer. You don’t need to worry about all the things MS and Sony are imposing (Paid multiplayer, inability to pirate games, yada yada yada) because your system is yours, down to the very hardware. True enough that it can be somewhat expensive, but generally it has a good payout, as your computer can be used for much more than a PS4 or Xbox One can. Or a Wii U. I prefer to choose what goes into my setup, but I suppose consoles are there for those not willing to pay that kind of money for a performance desktop or who don’t want to go through the hassle and would rather buy a console. I will admit, consoles are great for families. Split screen and all, multiple controllers, no viruses to worry about. They really all fit into a niche. I’m not sure where Wii U fits in, though; It has terrible sales. The 3DS/2DS seems to be coming along, though.

Exclusives sell consoles so they’ll always be a thing, as they should be. No one wants to buy a console that plays the same thing as everyone else, they want their purchase to stand out.
I want MORE exclusives if anything because then there would be a more valid reason to have all of the available consoles instead of just having a Nintendo console and either a Sony or Microsoft console.
