Well, you remember that Frankenstein episode of “Super Mario Bros. Super Show”? I thought Bowser was going to suck the brothers’ brains out!
 
And that episode of “Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog”, when Robotnik captured Sonic thanks to that overweight raccoon hero? Thought he was going to really win, if not for tails!

I don’t recall ever getting “scared” of that, but I did have fun spotting some animation errors in cartoons I liked as a kid. Like say Luigi’s mouth moving when the Princess was talking, or something.

Why can’t we go back to the days of, rather than complain about animation errors, we get scared that the bad guys will win?

I remember they used to show some on Toon Disney (now known as “Disney XD”) back when Disney owned DiC. Including one of the old Sonic cartoons on there, as well.  
…I miss “Toon Disney.”

Ho boy, the many DiC shows I’ve seen as a toddler…

the kid had what looked like a figure of servos from superhuman samurai syber squad on the dresser.

I think that was meant to be a generic rag doll pony, not Twist, but it’s hard to tell.

I actually liked that logo sequence as a kid, (I actually liked quite a few DiC shows, as a “child of the ’90s”) so I was surprised some were scared of it.

Who doesn’t have dolls of classmates they don’t ever talk to in real life next to what I hope is a pickle on their dresser, am I right?

Maybe it was the darkened room, and weird sound it made during the sequence that scared them. Probably why they changed it to sound a bit more musical, and less dark.
 
I can’t say it bothered me, I thought it was kinda cute personally. Scootaloo makes it cuter. I like how her scooter is tucked under her bed, and the toys. (See? Scootaloo’s not homeless.)

It just reminds me of a super condensed version of the HBO intro.

I don’t know what kids found scary about it, maybe it’s just overwhelmingly immersive to some.

Y’know, DHX now owns DiC (pronounced “Deek,” the company that made Inspector Gadget, Real Ghostbusters, and the original Super Mario & Sonic cartoons) considering, they recently bought “Cookie Jar Group,” who previously bought DiC.
 
Surprisingly, I learned recently this logo sequence actually scared some kids. (I’m more concerned what Scootaloo is keeping that jar.)
