Have you even seen the comments section on most pictures related to the Reflections arc around here? Or Flash Sentry, or Twilicorn? There’s plenty of criticism. The difference is that around here the mods actually point out the stupidity of still being mad about something over a year after it happens. Now drop your persecution complex. The only reason your way of going about this isn’t being respected is because a lot of it is mindless whining with no improvements being suggested and total ignorance of what’s done right. Your oh-so-important critical thought has turned out to be all critic and no thought.

Meghan McCarthy, Jayson Thiessen, Bobby Curnow, and the rest of the DHX and IDW crews are going to listen to the criticisms of /mlp/, the same group that calls them “sellouts” and “retarded” and that froths at the mouth about the show being ruined by Princess Twilight and EqG. Right.
 
Criticism is definitely a good thing, as long as it’s intelligent, respectful criticism. Explaining why you felt it was wrong for Twilight to keep quiet about Discord’s betrayal in “Twilight’s Kingdom” is a good thing. Saying that the show’s all about Twilight now is just stupid. Hurling misogynistic slurs at McCarthy for betraying Lauren Faust’s vision is just being an asshole. Learn the difference.

I’d say you’re doing a decent job at it for the most part, but /mlp/ thinks its way is the only right one and tends to jump on any reason it can get to say all other groups/sites are worse. I’ve been watching the thread that put this together. I can verify /mlp/ posted this (and several other cases of the meme) partially because it was funny, but mainly to prove that the users and mods on Derpibooru will damage control for Meghan McCarthy all day long and brush off any criticism of the show and/or comics as bait. They are using the deletion of posts, the addition of the “op is trying to start shit” tag, and the issuing of warnings to users as evidence that the mods here want blind obedience and contentment with anything Hasbro creates.
 
Just bringing this up in case anyone needs proof that OP was indeed trying to start shit. Normally /mlp/ gets a worse reputation than they deserve, but in this case I’d say most of the negative reaction is warranted. The best response is to simply show that we are aware of mistakes by the show and comic’s creators, but we are capable of getting over it.
 
And as for the anons of /mlp/ who are probably reading this post, consider that irritating people by pretending to be retarded isn’t exactly worth being proud of.
