I too enjoyed her role in Rainbow Falls, and am cautious about Season 5, and Rainbow Rocks for cameo’s.
(It’s my headcannon that in Rainbow Rocks, Derpy’s preffered musical instrument would be the bongos)

I already resigned myself to the fact that she probably won’t be mentioned by name or have a speaking role again for fear of reigniting the drama (it was great to see her appear in “Rainbow Falls” as Rainbow Dash’s replacement though).

Probably because it was easier than redoing the whole background to give her a throne of her own. At least they acknowledged that she’s part of the show.
