Though who’s to say Ganondorf was the ONLY incarnation of Demise’s hatred? Vaati, Bellum, Malladus, Nightmare, Majora, Veran, Onox, those could also be incarnations of Demise’s hatred in different forms.

Ganon also has more skill than Tirek.

Ganondorf has proven in both the Adult and Child Timelines that he’s a very skilled swordsman. And even though both pre-split and Child!Ganon were nothing more than Berserkers, Downfall!Ganon is one crafty piece of bacon (shattering the outer part of the arena and then darkening the room to make himself practically invisible).

Meanwhile, even with the magic of the show’s most powerful character, all Tirek ever does against Twilight (who also lacks real combat skill) is try to blast her or ram her with physical force.

Should I even mention how Ganon is pretty much a walking hate cycle; as long as Link and Zelda are alive, Ganon will come back even if he’s been killed by the Master Sword. The only time he’s been permanently killed have been in Wind Waker, A Link to the Past, and the very first game.

@Prof.NightJack
Triforce history lesson:
If you would seek the sacred
triangle, listen well…
The resting place of the sacred
triangle, the Sacred Realm, is a
mirror that reflects what is
in the heart…
the heart of one who enters it…
If an evil heart, the Realm will
become full of evil; if pure,
the Realm will become a paradise.
The Triforce…the sacred triangle…
it is a balance that weighs the
three forces:
Power, Wisdom and Courage.
If the heart of the one who holds
the sacred triangle has all three
forces in balance, that one will
gain the True Force to govern all.
But, if that one’s heart is not in
balance, the Triforce will separate
into three parts:
Power, Wisdom and Courage.
Only one part will remain for the
one who touched the Triforce…the
part representing the force that
one most believes in.
If that one seeks the True Force,
that one must acquire the two
lost parts.
Those two parts will be held
within others chosen by destiny,
who will bear the Triforce mark
on the backs of their hands.

It wasn’t because Ganondorf was evil that the Triforce split, it’s because he was focused on Power.

@Yukimazan
It’s said the wilder of the whole triforce will have there greatest wish granted, doesn’t say you have to be good, and they it was from the triforce sensing Ganon was so evil that it spit, not that evil can not wild the whole thing, the trifroce is semi-sentient.

And then Cia banishes Tirek back to Tartarus with the Triforce of Power.

Wasn’t there a fact that the Triforce splits into 3 pieces if it’s wielded by an evil person? And you can make a wish if you’re good?

@RWB
One error in your statement. You can’t really “drain” the Golden Power out of people. The Triforce is a physical thing.

Tirek could always just steal it the old fashioned way, of course.
RWB

@Yukimazan

That is hilarious.

Clearly Ghirahim is a worthy hero with a pure heart.

A hero of darkness with a heart of pure evil!

:D Makes sense.

@RWB
I always like the fact there’s always those silly flaws in some LoZ games even if it’s just from gameplay.
For example, Master Sword can only be wielded by a hero/Link?

@Dirty Bit

Nope.

Powerful enough magic spells have defeated him before. Not to mention how lulzy the concept of Ganon, who is entirely reliant on magic, going up against Tirek is. Especially since we know Triforce power can be drained out of you(Dorf himself drained that power out of Zelda in the Fall of the Hero timeline).

Stoned by mane 6, Drained by Tirek.

As for the “only the master sword can defeat him”.

Silver arrows. Better at killing him than the Sword ever was, and they are just fairy-blessed arrows.

Not to mention the whole “can only be defeated by the master sword” is ridiculous no limit fallacy in the first place.

But even if we went by the “only master sword can kill him”, he’s still horribly weak against the magic our ponies and villains have.

  1. Sealing magic(petrification ala Discord) is one of the most recurring problem Ganondorf suffers from.

  2. Tirek draining him of his magic and Triforce. Without Triforce, he has no protection against being killed by whatever.

    Equestria is doomed, but less because of Ganon than Tirek.

The End wasn't The End - Found a new home after the great exodus of 2012

Truth be told, when I saw Ganondorf’s trailer, I was thinking “Cia’s not taking center stage for long.”

Especially when he’s confirmed for playable. And I mean…holy sh*t.
