No one ever having to go hungry in a society where almost all of the population can literally eat grass and leaves is the number one reason why crime is so comparatively rare in Equestria. There are criminals, of course, it’s just that the whole concept of criminality and jurisprudence doesn’t really seem to be taken very seriously.
 
If you want to get super crapsaccharine about it, I suppose it’s still possible that it’s a Utopia Justifies The Means situation where the criminal element are rare because they’re simply removed when identified, and the general public just ignores or accepts it.

Yeah. Im just saying that there is in fact a criminal element. Honestly, There has been mention of war, there are criminals, Greed etc, when the world is not getting crushed by the big bad of the moment. Why do people on 4chin think equestria is some kind of perfect land? Only thing is no one seems to go hungry.

At one point Sweetie Belle helped mind-control her teacher and a friend’s brother into believing they loved each other and very nearly forced them into marriage under false pretenses, all without functional consequence. I don’t think Equestria even acknowledges that any crime short of “trying to take over/destroy the world” even exists.

Considering how seriously even the smallest of crimes are taken in Equestria, would it be appropriate to see a dozen of these at the scene?
 

In her situation smoking is the smallest problem.

I can’t really blame ppl who smoke for continuing smoking. use a vaporizer though so you’re only risking your heart not your lungs too. the drug damages your ability to tolerate drug withdrawal, making it harder to put up with shit and more difficult to give a fuck, so it’s great if you can recover from that and quit, but I can’t really blame you if you don’t. you just got your willpower literally burned out of you, sorry to say. at least you’re calmer that way and more stoic. well, unless you can’t get your fix.

…then again ppl who don’t even smoke have huge problems with putting up with shit and giving a fuck, so maybe nicotine isn’t exactly what did it for you. but if so, then use that willpower and quit already! that shit will crack your arteries like baked clay!

I’d think it would be a bit silly to point a gun at someone who can eject the magazine and rack the slide from across the room.

FACT: Back in the 1900s, it seems that American farmers (I’m not American, and I just relate to the source) de-wormed horses by making them chew tobacco. Then some they became addicts and this led to behavioral problems.
 
Nowadays, some people still make their horses chew tobacco as a treat (yes, it seems they like it. A bit disturbing but perfectly logical). Absolutely forbidden by horse experts: they can develop oral cancer.
 
BTW, non-smoker here.

i guarantee you that a spirometry would reveal that your lung function is lesser than almost any non-smoker (except for those with asthma)

Give it a few more decades- my mother smoked since she was 13, and she died at 55. She was pretty miserable the last 8 years of her life, and I still have nightmares of the final 6 months or so. The trauma of experiencing that secondhand, while also trying to take care of her were among the worst experiences of my life thus far.

It usually takes more than 10 years to develop the really interesting side effects. Give it another decade and you should begin to really feel the effects.
