No, it’s not. Yeah, there are other bad writers, but they were never bad to the extent that she’s been recently. And I agree with 441 on the “No other writer has pissed me off as much as her” thing, because that’s exactly how I feel.

I agree with you. I seriously don’t want to hate the comics to the same extent that most Derpibooru users have with it, but I think its safe to say that this arc and the EqG holiday special are no doubt the low points of IDW’s contributions to MLP.

sighs the problems with the laws here is definitely a downturn in all of it. albeit i guess in a land where the majority of the leading population has supernatural abilities, assault probably is a bit harder to narrow down.
 
do find their plan clever. delay the bulls with some misinformation for a prolonged time till they could make the place labeled as historic……. think that the majority of the things we saw here were supposed to be technically none violent actions except exaggerrated cause the bulls are a lot larger than the ponies albeit that could sitll be labeled assault in our society.
 
…… i know what could have saved this. if the land the territory was not exactly equestrian territory yet, it just starting to be settled. twilight was very uncertain about what to do about it, so they delayed the bulls for a prolonged time in order to make it equestrian property.

I’m with you.Not much in the comics have pissed me off until this arc.I was willing to try and let it slide in the first half,but the second half is just so piss poor.What the hell is happening to IDW?Both this and the recent EG Holiday special have been so lazy and shitty.

They did, it’s because they damaged a “historical site” (that has no actual historical significance in Equestria and was just declared so as to prevent them from claiming the land).
 
Because that’s an actual crime, not arson, assault, and racketeering.

I like the comics, I really do; and I think they get way too much hate. However this is just bad really bad. I don’t get what they were doing here. Twilight not being able to arrest them before for destroying the town and hitting her friends but now shes able to is not explained in the least. It just reeks of lazy writing and them not caring about this arc at all.

How hard is to do that from the start when THEY WERE PUNCHING YOUR FRIENDS IN THE FACE? Seriously, Twilight, you should get 10 years of magic kindergarten for this.

And not to mention that Merriweather has been improving too {Wonderbolts Academy is one of my favorite episodes in the entire show, and Bats! was pretty good at least}, whereas Katie has been getting worse and worse as time goes on.
