The only way consoles will ever stop advancing is when they each achieve 60 FPS for every game in their catalogs. By that time, I’d imagine they’ll be able to increase how many FPS are possible on the most powerful device at that time. XD
There was no internet as it’s known today back in 1985, either. That means no computer screen for bullies to hide behind, people weren’t as quick to cuss then.
I kinda long for some aspects of 1950s America where little kids could walk around town without parents and without anyone abducting them, ever - and without anyone hurting them. It would be very nice.
Bye now, graphics are realistic enough that people should stop being impressed by them. And realize that realistic graphics aren’t actually all that great in themselves.
Hell, the jump from PS3/360 to PS4/XBOne is ludicrously small, graphics-wise, compared to previous generation jumps.
But people are continuing to argue, no matter how tiny the differences. Look how people were much more outraged over Watch Dogs’ crippled graphics on the PC than over the sheer mediocrity of that overhyped game.
@Silent_Witness
i remember people calling the saturn inferior to the playstation due to the “it can’t do 3d as much as playstation” only for people to get on the saturn bandwagon after it was long dead (“the 2d games on it were amazing”)

I find myself in agreement. The Bit Wars (as the AVGN called them) never really stopped- just replace all the talk of bits with core processors, and throw in a homophobic slur or a few thousand, and you have the console wars of today.
