I say no matter the shipping if the story is great especially for clopfics. For example it used to be a RariBon clopfiction on the fimfiction.com which isn’t available anymore but I think that was a great fanfiction even if the shipping of Rarity and Bon Bon has no meaning.
Hmm Been waiting for the Raarity one of this. Well, I’m surprised not as many Raripie, huh.. Also, I could have sworn there was waaay more, or maybe in my head I guess of Raritavia, Sunsarity and Rariscratch. *wait, date, a year ago >_< oh for pete’s ~ ! haha

Let’s nip this in the bud by saying we agree we both have good points, but we both have to make assumptions that could be changed at any point by a passing sentence in the show. Who knows where they will go.
Personally, I want to see more of the nerdy Dragon girl we saw in the comic shop who is a huge fan of Luna from the IDW comics. She seems like a okay gal for Spike.

You have a good point, so still no animosity meant. Still, I think you’re making a few assumptions of your own. Who says he’ll be stuck like a baby for decades, when we’ve seen older dragons slightly larger than him before? Is it really impossible for Rarity to later look back and admire his devotion to her and his own personality, or for Spike do start looking past her superficial looks and like her for all the features that deserve love?
What I really meant was Rarity and Spike getting together in the near future takes much less of a stretch than 3/5 of the ships included on this chart, and so not including that ship was a pretty glaring omission and indicative of a huge, huge bias. Of course, I tried to use a little humor to spin it, but oh well.
Is it too late to get a refund for this boat ticket to a shipping war?

She said it’ll never happen, though…there is a lot to assume if we are going by the time Spike ‘grows up’. Dragons live for hundreds of years in this show, so maturity could take decades. He is less than a child from his species perspective, he’s a toddler.
Also, Rarity likes Spike as a friend, and he already confessed his feelings for her, which she gently did not reciprocate.
Not to mention that Spike’s infatuation with Rarity is physically based, yet he likes her as a friend, so he will likely grow out of his crush for her.
You can ship them if you like, but don’t tell me it’s anything close to Canon when it’s one of the few ships we know will NEVER be Canon.
